Dr. Chen graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix in 2017. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Arizona State University - Tempe with a degree in in Bioengineering in 2006. He also obtained a masters degree in Bioengineering in 2009, also at Arizona State University. He enjoys spending time with family, photography, technology, and DIY projects.

Dr. Gonikman graduated from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University in 2016. He completed his undergraduate studies with a degree in integrative neuroscience from SUNY - Binghamton in 2012. His hobbies include hiking, traveling, and trying to find the best latte in whatever city he is in.

Her hobbies and interests include dancing, reading, cooking, baking, cake decorating, and traveling.
Katrina Lepthien, DO
Dr. Lepthien graduated from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2017. Dr. Lepthien completed her undergraduate studies at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology with degrees in Biology and Chemistry. Her interests include travel, visiting family and friends, and movies.

Dr. Nelson graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix in 2017 where she obtained a combined MD/MPH degree. She completed her undergraduate training at Arizona State University in 2011 with a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences. Her interests include baking, enjoying local eats (there is always room for dessert!), international travel, and spending time with family and friends.
Emil Osipov, MD
Dr. Osipov graduated from Astrakhan State Medical Academy in Russian Federation and trained in Pediatric residency. He was a practicing pediatrician in both outpatient and inpatient settings. He received professional awards for providing high quality medical care and professionalism. He gained extensive experience in behavior health working as a BHS at Urgent Psychiatric Care providing services to patients with SMI and Developmental Disabilities. His current interests are Child and Adolescent psychiatry, psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. He chose MIHS Psychiatry program to gain experience in a variety of psychopathology with a strong focus in academics.

Mamuna Ahmad, MD
Dr. Ahmad received her medical degree from Punjab Medical College in Pakistan where she was the top scoring student in Psychiatry in her final year. She also recieved the Best Psychiatry Intern Award. After moving to the U.S. in 2010, she gained clinical experience at a number of locations and held psychiatry research position at Napa State Hospital and Georgetown University. Prior to joining us, she was working at University California San Francisco.
Aaron Dahl, MD
Dr. Dahl graduated from University of Arizona College of Medicine, Phoenix. He received his BA in Spanish Literature at Arizona State University. His mission to Peru as a young man piqued his interest in medicine. Volunteering at clinics in underserved areas during medical school cemented his interest in behavioral health.
Regan O’Brien, MD
Dr. O'Brien, a former Buckeye, attended medical school at Northeast Ohio Medical University. She completed her undergraduate studies at Youngstown State University where she was also a member of the Lady Penguin Women’s Golf Team. She was drawn to MIHS because of her regard for the high level of professionalism demonstrated by physicians on staff. Dr. O'Brien is enthusiastic about her reincarnation as an Arizonian, hoping to further explore the West in her free time.
Marie Roy Babbitt, MD
Dr. Roy Babitt graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She received her BS in Psychology from the University of Arizona in Tucson where she graduated with honors. She worked as a Mental Health Technician at a child & adolescent residential treatment center prior to the start of medical school.
Andrew Williams, DO
Dr. Williams earned his medical degree from AT Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Mesa, Arizona and studied art therapy at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. He received his BFA in 3-D studies from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. After moving to Arizona he worked as a Behavioral Health Technician at the MIHS Annex and also as an art therapist in Phoenix for four years prior to starting medical school. During his 4th year of medical school, he worked with the Multnomah County Clinics in Oregon in a research project studying the efficacy of Group Therapy Treatment for Chronic Pain Patients and creating Naltrexone program to curb opioid overdose in Washington State.
Ed Kim, MD
Dr. Kim received his medical degree from Saint George’s University, Grenada and his B.S. in Psychobiology from UCLA. His professional interests are addiction, telepsychiatry, and mindfulness. During his free time he enjoys hiking, swimming, and long distance cycling. Regarding the MIHS program –“One thing that continues to impress me is the open door policy that attendings offer to residents from day one.” He is currently completing his addiction medicine fellowship at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System.
Jack Marsh, DO
Dr. Marsh earned his doctor of osteopathic medical degree from Midwestern University, Arizona and received his undergraduate degree at Arizona State University. His professional interests lie in inpatient and consults, currently. He enjoys sports, the great outdoors, and hanging out with friends during off hours. He thoroughly enjoyed his time here as medical student and sees our program as a great opportunity to get exposed to an acute patient population. Post graduation, he is traveling prior to full time work.
Orla Weinhold, MD
Dr. Weinhold graduated from the Oceania University of Medicine and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Phoenix. In her previous career, Dr. Weinhold worked as a nurse practitioner. Her interests lie in emergency psychiatry. When time permits, she enjoys her family, reading, walking her dog and bike riding. She appreciates our small, friendly program as well as the challenging pathology, and well-rounded education. She is currently working inpatient at MIHS and obtaining her ECT certification.
